If you are looking for a great acoustic pickup, I heartily suggest you try one of Carl McIntyre's. Of all the pickups I've heard and installed, his sound most like the natural instrument, just louder. In 2001, Carl re-designed his pickup line, and now produces a thin, self-adhesive pickup called the "Acoustic Feather," so called because of the shape of the guitar pickup. (The mandolin and resophonic pickups are this same shape, while the banjo pickups are thin, and straight-sided.
