These well made nylon gig bags are well padded and are a lightweight way to get your banjo around to jams or at festivals. They will not prevent damage to your instrument if you drive your truck over them or sit on them, but they are very effective dust covers wth handles. And they have the cool ZEPP Country Music logo by Jean Claverie on them!
They come in two flavors:
Banjo Shaped. These bags are designed for resonator banjos, but they fit 12-inch banjos just fine, and, I mean, come on, it's a bag, for Pete's sake, so an 11-inch open back goes in there just swimmingly, after all. These have a single carrying strap: $49.95 ($39.95 with banjo at time of purchase).
Non-Banjo Shaped. These bags were designed for...well, I hate to admit this...solid body electric guitars. There. I said it. But they fit open back banjos just fine, too! Really. As they were designed for heavier instruments, they have double carrying straps, denser padding, and heavier hardware than the banjo-shaped bags, thus they are slightly more expensive: $59.95 ($49.95 with banjo at time of purchase).
This is a reinforced arch-topped plywood case with steel-reinforced seams, tweed or black simulated leather exterior, padded, textured velour-lined interior (usually burgundy in black cases, dark brown in tweed cases), roomy accessory compartment, rugged steel plated hardware, and a padded luggage-grade stitched handle. Has "D" rings for a shoulder strap (not included).

11" pot, open back (no. CD-1535) "bump" case: These are in the tradition of the old Vega "bump" cases of 100 years ago. They're called "bump" cases, because they have a bump to accommodate a banjo's 5th string. N.b.: The open back cases do not fit banjos with guitar-style tuning pegs, such as Goodtime banjos. Similarly, owing to an interior length limit of 37.25 inches, these cases do not fit most Gold Tone banjos regardless of tuning peg configuration.
