The tuners are friction tuners, which work quite well with the Nylgut strings on the instrument. Note that the tuner holes have been plugged and re-drilled.

The 11-inch pot is set up with a skin head, a Moon brand bridge, and its original, Dobson brand tailpiece, which works great with the Nylgut brand strings.

The instrument has a walnut neck.
The fingerboard has distinctive inlays and has a "German silver" plate above the 16th fret.

The 11-inch pot is spunover, and has a great sound with Nylgut brand strings.
The spunover pot is in good shape. The absence of the brackets (accompanyng the banjo, but broken) by the neck joint actually makes for comfortable play, i.e., one's right thumb does not collide with them when playing over the neck! |
The neck is beautiful walnut, with handsome figure and color. |
The banjo comes with an old hardshell case, befitting its age! |
