The following rules are specifically related only to the awarding of two Ramsey banjos by ZEPP Country Music, Inc. at the 2009 Hoppin' John Fiddlers' Convention at Shakori Hills; Any and all rules regarding participation in the contest and designation of winners are soley the concern of the festival organizers, and ZEPP Country Music will not participate in any way with such matters. In other words, we're giving two banjos, but all the contest rules are at the discretion of Shakori Hills.

Employees of ZEPP Country Music, Inc., Chanterelle Workshop, or Shakori Hills are not eligible to win either of the two instruments to be presented.

One banjo will be awarded to the 1st place winner in the Old Time Banjo contest in addition to whatever prize(s) (if any) the festival organizers choose to offer. Upon being announced, the 1st Place Winner will become ineligible for the drawing of the second banjo ZEPP Country Music is providing.

After the 1st Place Winner has been designated, a second banjo will be awarded to another, randomly selected contestant in the Old Time Banjo contest. To be fully eligible, the contestant must not only have registered for the contest, but must have played when called, and received a score from the judges in accordance with all the Shakori Hills rules. This means you really have to play in the contest, not just put your name in.

So it's pretty simple: Play in the contest. Even if you don't win 1st Place, you have as good a chance to win a Ramsey banjo as anyone else entered!
