This spectacular open back has a green-dyed maple neck with a fully fretted, ebony fingerboard with abalone and MOP inlay. The Victorian headstock also has ebony overlay and an abalone and MOP inlay. The banjo comes factory-spiked at frets 7 and 9. Ome uses the newly redesigned, Schaller brand planetary tuners on these banjos.

The 11-inch pot has an Ome "Silver Spun" tone ring (guess it should be "Gold Spun in this case as it's gold-plated to match all the other hardware, which includes an engraved armrest and "Harp" tailpiece.

Juniper Megatone Resonator
This mahogany bluegrass banjo has a very interestingly figured mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard and handsome abalone and MOP inlay. It comes factory-spiked at 7, 9, and 10. The "double-cut" headstock also has a nicely figured, striped ebony overlay and a handsome inlay. The instrument has Schaller's new planetary tuners.

The pot has a a three-ply maple rim with Ome's Megatone, bluegrass tone ring. As does the neck, the mahogany resonator has a super-smooth tung oil finish. The resonator has handsome "tortoise" and white binding.

A gorgeous maple openback banjo featuring some highly flamed maple on the neck, and a beautiful "Primrose" inlay in its fully fretted, ebony fingerboard. The ebony-overlain peghead continues the Primrose theme with its MOP and abalone inlay. Affixed are Schaller planetary tuners.

Sweetgrass Megatone 200 Bluegrass Banjo
This beautiful banjo has a flamed maple neck and resonator, finished in a striking "plum" color. The mother-of-pearl and abalone inlay in its ebony-overlaid double cut headstock and its ebony fingerboard are equally striking. Note in the peghead photo that this instrument has a top-adjusting truss rod, with a cover on the peghead, rather than Ome's usual through-the-heel adjustment point.

This one comes from Ome with a Remo head (they usually use Ludwigs) a Snuffy Smith bridge, and has 2 spikes installed (7 & 9).

Juggernaut Megatone
This instrument is a beautiful flamed-maple banjo, from its ivoroid-bound peghead with MOP inlay to its spectacular, flamed maple resonator. One of the things that has always impressed me about Ome's quality is the fact that even the inside of the resonator is flamed maple, and not just some mystery wood painted black.(these photos are of the Juggernaut now in stock).

The highly flamed neck is a single piece with an ivoroid-bound, ebony fingerboard with the mother-of-pearl Juggernaut inlay pattern.

Of course, it has Ome's "F" hole flange and their proprientary straight-pull "Harp" tailpiece.

Engraved Silver Odyssey Megatone
This spectacular instrument was custom-ordered, but the person who had ordered it decided he wanted gold plating instead of this beautiful chrome, and it was too late to change this banjo (so he got the next Odyssey due in). IMHO, the Odyssey is one of the prettiest banjos Ome makes, its inlay being reminiscent of the Ode banjos Chuck Ogsbury was making before he sold Ode to Baldwin. He later started and still runs the Ome Company.

This banjo has a double cut headstock, with amazing mother of pearl and abalone inlay. The neck is maple (flamed, of course), as is the gorgeous resonator. The headstock, resonator, and fingerboard are ivoroid bound. The inlay pattern in the ebony fingerboard is nothing short of phenomenal, and the banjo comes with factory spikes at 7, 9, and 10.

As mentioned, this banjo was ordered with Ome's "Spray" engraving of its arm rest, tension hoop, resonator screws and tailpiece, and all the metal parts have been chromed. BTW, I got some add-on chrome parts from Chuck in 1964 for the Ode I got from him that same year, and, while the 40-year old nickel is about gone, that chrome still looks like new!

This banjo is set up with a Snuffy Smith bridge and Ome's Megatone tone ring, and I can honestly say this is the best sounding banjo I have ever had come through this store!

Bright Angel Open Back
This spectacular banjo is a beautiful flamed-maple banjo, with a custom, blue finish The gorgeous mother-of-pearl and abalone celestial inlay motif in its ivoroid-bound, "Victorian" headstock and its ivoroid-bound ebony fingerboard. All the metal parts on this beauty are gold plated, including the tuners, of course.

The pot shows the level of detail and perfection one associates with Ome; note the binding inside and outside the pot edge, and the closed-end bracket nuts.
