Ome Southern Cross Prototype

Ome Southern Cross Prototype Ome has introduced a new model, having distinctive inlays, and sent us the prototype. As an open back, this one has an 11-inch, Silverspun tone ring.

This banjo is the very first of this model, comes with a "bump" case, and lists at $3150, but please call us for our price on this collector's piece! Update: this model is now offered by Ome as a resonator model only. Insofar as I know, the instrument shown here is the only open back Southern Cross made. It is, however, Sold

Ome Southern Cross Prototype  peghead The peghead is Ome's "Victorian" shape, and has a new abalone and MOP inlay in its ebony overlay.          Ome Southern Cross Prototype tuners The tuners are Schaller planetaries, and are super-smooth.
Ome Southern Cross Prototype head It comes set up with a Snuffy Smith brand bridge and a Renaissance head. With that Silverspun tone ring, it's clear as a bell!          Ome Southern Cross Prototype back The gloss-finished maple neck has a gorgeous, warm stain.
