Ome Odyssey
The Odyssey is reminiscent of the late Ogsbury Ode banjos, and is about the most attractive banjo they've ever made, IMHO.
This particular one has a radiused fingerboard for ease of playing.
With hardshell case, it lists at $4495 plus $295 for the radiusing of the fingerboard, for a total of $4790. Please call for our price. Sold

The highly flamed maple neck and pot have a gorgeous reddish tinge.

The fingerboard is radiused, as can be seen in this photo. This slight curvature makes the strings fall more naturally under the fingers when playing.

The "double-cut" headstock peghead features full binding and the distinctive Odyssey inlay.

Ome uses the new, Schaller brand planetary tuners on their banjos these days. A vast improvement over earlier designs!

The neck is 1-piece, highly flamed maple, and has a deep, gloss finish.

The ebony fingerboard has Ome's retro Odyssey inlay, which is highly reminiscent of the Ode inlays that were introduced just prior to that company's sale to Baldwin in 1965.

The 3-ply maple pot has a Megatone tone ring, and produces about the best sounding bluegrass banjo noises I've ever heard. The resonator is highly flamed maple, of course.

It's currently set up with a Ludwig brand head, Snuffy Smith brand bridge, Ome brand strings, and a Ome's proprietary, "Harp" straight-pull tailpiece.
