Gold Tone OT-800LN Long Neck Tu-Ba-Phone

Gold Tone OT-800LN Long Neck New in 2009, Gold Tone now offers their OT-800 Tu-Ba-Phone in a long neck (25 fret) style. This instrument best reproduces the sound of Pete Seeger's original Vega long neck, but at an affordable price.

In addition to the use of the Tu-Ba-Phone tone ring that Seeger's banjo used, this model also has a brass bracket band, as did Seeger's.

Gold Tone OT-800LN Long Neck back The OT-800LN Long Neck is a maple instrument with a warm "mahogany" brown stain. The one in stock even has a fair amount of "flame" to the maple.           Gold Tone OT-800LN Long Neck fingerboard The ebony fingerboard is fully fretted and has a handsome engraved inlay pattern.
Gold Tone OT-800LN Long Neck peghead The peghead is a variation on the classic Vega shape, and has an engraved star inlaid.           Gold Tone OT-800LN Long Neck heel The hardware is chrome plated, which means it's corrosion proof! Note the handsome, off-white binding on the pot's lower edge as well as the brass bracket band.
Gold Tone OT-800LN Long Neck dowel stick The 11-inch pot has a Tu-Ba-Phone-style tone ring.           Gold Tone OT-800LN Long Neckhead It comes set up with a No-Knot tailpiece and a Renaissance brand head for great sound to match its great looks!
Gold Tone OT-800LN Long Neck tuners Gold Tone's smooth planetary tuners are used, of course, and the 5th string tuner is also geared.           Gold Tone OT-800LN Long Neck neck Note the flamed maple visible on the dark-stained neck.
